What is the purpose of PixelBiker.Com?The purpose of PixelBiker.Com is to help finance an extended motorcycle trip here in the U.S.A. where I'll be podcasting both audio and video of the trip on as close to a daily basis as possible. I will be taking an unpaid leave from my normal job as an over-the-road truck driver and will need to build up a substantial amount of money in order to cover the costs of meals, motels, motorcycle maintenence, and whatever else I'll need.
I want to podcast the trip on a daily basis from http://www.truckertompodcast.com in order to give listeners as complete a feeling as possible of what it's like on the trip. I'll describe, photograph and make videos of wherever I go, including tourist sites I'm able to visit. for the trip.
My goal with the podcasting motorcycle trip is to virtually bring along as many listeners/viewers as possible along with me on the trip via my podcast. There are many people who don't have the time or opportunity to take an extended trip like this on a motorcycle and would like to find out what it's like through me. Perhaps others are just curious as to what it might be like. Will I survive from one day to the next? Tune in to find out!!!
Some people would simply ask for donations. I can't do that. Quite frankly the idea of asking for donations leaves a bad taste in my mouth. However, I have no problem at all selling something of value such as advertising space. My goal is to create as much value as I possibly can to the friends and advertising space buyers who end up helping to support this site.

An ad bought today will continue to be up through June 7, 2011.
Buying pixel fields on PixelBiker.Com is a very innovative form of social community advertising. People will look at your ads in order to see who has already bought ad space, and who is interested in the goal of supporting the podcasting motorcycle trip across the U.S.A.
The more PixelBiker.Com is promoted, the more effective the advertising becomes. Therefore, I'm asking you to also help me promote it by linking to it, talking about it to your friends, etc.
The minimum single-field purchase is set at a very reasonable $10 dollars U.S, thus the minimum ad purchase is $10. You determine the size of your ad beyond the single field. All purchases are handled via PayPal.
When will the podcasting motorcycle trip take place?The date of the extended motorcycle trip has yet to be determined. However, the sooner the better!!!
How will I know when the motorcycle trip starts so I can follow along?Simply go to the Email/Tell A Friend menu item along the top of the page and type in you or your friend's email address to be added to my mailing list.
I solemly promise that your email address WILL NOT be sold, misused, or abused in any way and will remain completely private. I will try to keep the updates to a minimum so as not to flood your email inbox.
I will send out email notifications once I know when the trip will start, and also likely send out periodic notifications during the trip talking about where I am, what I'm doing, etc.
You retain control as to whether you want to receive these email update newsletters or not by going to the Email/Tell A Friend menu and either adding or removing your own email address.
Why do you want to take an extended podcasting motorcycle trip across the U.S.A.?Such a trip will be fun for not only me but for everyone who has invested in the trip by bying pixel ad space. I want to make this trip as fun as possible for everyone involved.
Are you a motorcycle enthusiast? Ever dream of taking a cross-country trip? Ever wish you could get away from your job for an extended period of time?
If you aren't a motorcycle enthusiast, then have you ever been curious as to what all those bikers you see riding around are up to?
Whatever the case, I'm asking you to help me gather enough funds to make an extended cross-country motorcycle trip. Such a trip won't be cheap, because I'll be taking an extended leave of absense from my job driving a truck over-the-road. I'll have to pay for my own health insurance while I'm off work, as well as for gas, maintenence, lodging and whatever else I need in order to make the trip happen.
Can you help me make this trip happen? In return, I'll create as much advertising value for you as I possibly can. I know a lot of people. I'm well-known in the podcasting world. I know people in the radio business who can help me promote this effort. Will you help me help you?
What kind of motorcycle do you have?My motorcycle is a 1999 Honda Shadow Ace Tour, which I purchased new in 1999. It has about 18,000 miles on it and is in excellent condition.
I'll likely buy some sort of motorcycle trailer so I can carry additional clothing and podcasting equipment.
